Group Introduction

 I will be working with my good friends Jackson Hirsch and Kyle Ford for my project. I chose Jackson for many reasons. I am very good at editing and filming media content. This includes skills that will assist me with creating the best possible music video for this project. These skills include very good editing skills with past knowledge of filming in the film industry. I also own equipment that will allow the quality of my groups video to be very good. Jackson and Kyle brings their directing skills and smarts to the table when it comes to media. Jackson and Kyle are also very creative and can come up with good ideas for scenes. Both these people are great students that I can trust to keep up with the work. Kyle will also be very helpful for assisting in shot angles in the music video. Jackson, Kyle, and I have great chemistry together and we are both good at coming to terms with each other. With this skill we will be able to work together and create ideas for each other to make the music video the best it can be. Jackson and Kyle both also live close to me and stay after school. This allows us to go home with each other and film scenes for what is needed. Both Jackson, Kyle and I have a very diverse friend group, this will allow for us to have great actors for every position we need in our music video. With all three of us being student athletes, we all understand the importance of staying on top of our grades and keeping up with school. With all of us having determination and passion to do well in this class, we should exceed in our projects that we complete together. Overall, these friends are great group members. With their set of skills paired with mine our group will have a high success rate. I am looking forward to working with Jackson and Kyle for our group project.

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. The other doll that was labelled 9 was terrified and ran away to go hide. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
