Editing Crisis

 When attempting to start the editing process over the weekend, I wasn't able to upload the videos into my computer to edit them. I was very confused at first. After some further looking into the videos, they were somehow corrupted and we couldn't upload them. In order to get new film, we will be filming at my house this Friday at 2:30. This is a mandatory emergency film session to try and get back the film that we missed. I am going to make sure while everyone is still there that I can upload the videos to my computer to prevent errors in the future. After being sick and not being able to work, this is the last thing I was hoping for. The editing process has been our least successful stage of the project, and its requiring us to go back to the filming process. When producing a movie, the last thing that you want is to be moving backwards in the timeline. Hopefully, the film session can be quick and easy on Friday, and we will be able to get this editing rolling. Also, I have gotten a couple people to agree to looking at our "rough draft" of the video in hopes to give some constructive criticism. We are coming closer and closer to our deadline, and we cannot afford spending on this time on getting proper footage. I am starting to get a little concerned about how much time we will have for revision. I know our group will get it done, but I want to make sure that this project is the best it can be. From now on, I am going to try and get the group a little more organized. We are supposed to be done by April 14, it is currently April 3. Therefore, we will film by the 7th and make sure all our footage is good. Then we will get all the editing done by the 9th-10th. Get it reviewed for revision on the 11th and hopefully be able to make all the revisions by the 13th to have it up by the 14th. That's all for now, and I will keep you guys updated on the progress of our schedule.

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
