Re-Editing Blog

 After getting all the footage we needed, I have began and almost completed the editing process. But before I get into that, we had a little issue with our filming session on Friday. Our group member Jackson didn't show up to our film session, and didn't contact us till 30 minutes after we already started! It was upsetting for the entire group, as it made us alter the storyline presented in our storyboard, however, the video is coming along nicely. As for the last couple projects, I am the editor for this project, and I feel I have been doing an amazing job! The title cards look amazing, and I feel after the last project I have perfected color correction. The color correction in this film is amazing and it really steps up the video quality. I feel that it immerses you into the 2000's feel that the movie is occurring in. When editing I found out a new little trick to put MOV files into Adobe Premiere Pro. For some reason, the issue I was having last time was I was not able to edit videos that were taken on my phone because of the format. However, after we re-filmed, I learned that if you change the file to a .AVI file it works perfectly fine. I wish I would have new this before hand because we wouldn't have had to change around our storyline. But, it's alright because the altered version of our storyline still looks amazing. I have sent the video out to a few friends and family to get some feedback on how the movie looks and what needs to be revised, so I will update you guys on what they thought should be changed and how I corrected it next blog. Overall, there has not been any more severe complications in the editing since, and hopefully it can stay that way so we can get this project wrapped up. I enjoy doing this project, however it does create stress for me having to keep up with this along with my other school work. And on top of that, I want to be able to do things for my enjoyment. So overall, having this project done will be a huge life saver and a big relief. I will be done editing by next blog. Once I get the thoughts from my peers is when the real challenge comes to my attention because I have to think of ways to fix the issue they see. I concluded that the time restraints did have a small effect on the final outcome of my project, but it is still going to be amazing, see you guys next blog!

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
