Slower than Molasses

 Since we finished filming the group has gotten a little too comfortable. There has been no new updates with editing from any of the group mates. We decided to split the clips up to everyone in the group to quickly clip them all into usable scenes and cuts. However, some of the people in our group are slowing down on keeping up with the work. Zeyn and Jason are becoming very relaxed now the the filming is over. I am going to speak to them next time we are in class and assure that they get their heads on straight so we can continue. The reasoning behind splitting up the responsibility of the clips was simple. If we have less time just getting the clips prepared to be truly edited we can spend more time on the actual editing. Because it was on our phones all the clips need to be trimmed a little bit so that the people speaking line up. The goal now that we have set ourselves back a little is to get all the clips trimmed in the next few days to prepare us for the real editing. Today is the 24th, and we want to be done with the entire film by the first of march so that we can review and correct any mistakes. If we keep on track to finish trimming the clips by tomorrow. For me personally I have had a lot of school stuff going on. Between football and my other highly academic classes this class has been harder to keep up with. I am trying to better dedicate myself to this class however I am being spread very thin. If my group can step in and help me these next couple days I plan to step up next week and try to help more. The main reason for me falling behind was because of testing. So next week when I am done I will be more available to do this class. I feel bad for falling behind but I really have no choice and my group has been pretty understanding. Hope that the next time I talk to you guys I am doing better with keeping up!

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. Short Film Research: Other side of the box, Thriller genre

  The rainy, dismal night opens the first scene of the short film Other Side of the Box. A man driving throughout the city has a terrified expression on his face. We see glimpses of a mysterious figure in the rearview mirror that appears to be pursuing him. The man pulls up to an empty warehouse, opens the door, and leaves. Despite his efforts to locate a hiding place, it appears that the person has already located him. He turns as he hears footsteps and spots the shadowy figure standing at the doorway. The apparition approaches and stands over him, grinning, as he stumbles and hits the ground while attempting to flee.Even as he begs for his life, the figure lunges forward and draws a knife. A scuffle ensued, and he made an effort to retaliate. When it appears that there is no chance left, a group armed with rifles approaches and storms the building.   "Jet" is the title of the film. An overhead view of a man looking through the front windshield of an automobile opens the movie. An vehicle accelerates up a hill in the distance. As the man pulls a pistol to his side, the camera moves to the side of his head, exposing his intention to commit suicide. At that moment, a little girl bounces down the street, and the man grabs the daughter, puts the gun in the van, and drives up, leaving him unsure of what to do. After cutting to a scene of a man warily crossing a forest line to check where the car had disappeared, the action shifts to the man running through the trees in the direction of the house.He hides behind the car, stays in the bush, and runs across the front yard in time to see a man approach and take the girl out.
