Group Blog

 I will be working with my good friends Jason, Elena, and Zeyn for my project. I chose Jason, Elena, and Zeyn for many reasons. I am very good at editing and filiming media content. This includes skills that will assist me with creating the best possible shots for this project. These skills include very good editing skills with past knowledge of filming in the film industry. I also own equipment that will allow the quality of my groups video to be very good. Jason brings his directing skills and smarts to the table when it comes to media. Elena is very creative and can come up with good ideas for scenes. Zeyn is a great student that I can trust to keep up with his work. Everyone will be very helpful for assisting in shot angles in the commercial. Jason and I have great chemistry together and we are both good at coming to terms with each other. With this skill we will be able to work together and create ideas for each other to make the film the best it can be. Jason also lives close to me and stays after school with me at football. This allows us to go home with each other and film scenes for what is needed. Both Jason, Elena, Zeyn and I have a very diverse friend group, this will allow for us to have great actors for every position we need in our film. With Zeyn and I being student athletes, we both understand the importance of staying on top of our grades and keeping up with school. With both of us having determination and passion to do well in this class, we should exceed in our projects that we complete together. Overall, I expect for us to be a great group, with his set of skills paired with mine our group will have a high success rate. I am looking forward to working with Jason, Elena, and Zeyn for our group project.

Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full-length movie

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. The other doll that was labelled 9 was terrified and ran away to go hide.
