We got a date!

 My group has finally developed a plan to film! We will be filming this weekend as we are on spring break. We all have a lot more time to allow for filming and production. We plan to film this weekend, preferably Sunday. In doing this, I will have time to revise and begin editing the film. Hopefully, we can have a draft of our final product in a week or so. In doing this, it will give us plenty of time to get the work looked at by a peer to tell us what they think could be changed. We plan to listen to critique from others serious to maximize the potential and quality of our project. The plan for the day of filming is to meet at Jacksons house on Sunday to film all the shots of our main character at home, and we will need to schedule another film date during the break. The other film session would be to film the shots at the main characters school. We will need to go to the school the Kyle's mom works at to film these, so planning these dates my be complicated. This date may need to be the second weekend of spring break as I am leaving for a spring break vacation on Monday, and will not return until Friday. I am going around Florida to tour colleges and university's. Hopefully, the trip that I am going on will be enriching in the context of where I would like to receive a higher level of education. I am prioritizing this trip over everything else because it is important for me to know where I want to go for college as it will pave the path for my career and life. With this being said, everything that relates to that trip will be put at a higher priority than filming for this project. This will create more conflict and unavailable space in my schedule. I plan to advise my other group members to continue to film without my physical presence. However, I may be able to attend virtually, although that wouldn't contribute much to the filming part of the project. I am not really concerned as my group is pretty self-sufficient and we understand the importance in getting this project done. We will do what needs to be done to ensure that this project is amazing and completed on time.

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
