We filmed!
We got some of our filming done, however, this was just a portion. We settled on filming at Jackson's house for the portions of the film that were in a household setting. This just leaves us to film the in-school portions of the video. We have been brainstorming the possibility of filming the schools scenes with a high quality green screen. This is something that would require lots of research on green screening to create the best possible quality. This would be the backup plan if we are not able to film at Kyles Mom's school. I will start to edit the footage we do have. The first things I plan to start on is color correction to give the film a more professional look. To continue, color correction will assist in the immersion of the viewer to the movie. I also plan to use text tracking to do the opening cards. For example, the name of our production company, etc. When filming at Jackson's house, we didn't run into any issues. I feel that this was mostly thanks to the proper planning before hand. We had a very detailed storyboard and script, so we knew exactly what to film for every scene. This resulted in us just being able to read off a paper to film what we needed, which allowed for more time to shoot more scenes. Looking forward, I do not know when we will film the secondary part of this project. Multiple of our team members will be out of town, however, we have talked about the possibility of filming without some team members. This is all still in the works for future scheduling, but we really only need Kyle for the acting portion and me for the filming portion. Once we get a plan sorted I will update you all. It is a huge relief to finally get a chunk of this project done and get this train moving, and I can't wait to see what the final outcome is!
