Lets get this show on the road!

     I am very excited to start this production journey with my group. We plan to have a film session this weekend, and I hope to get some good shots and ideas when we are there. We are planning to meet at Jacksons house, but that is subject to change. I am really looking forward to see how our group works together as it is a new group, and I believe that our skillsets will fit together like a puzzle piece. We plan to film on my phone as per usual. The camera quality is beyond good, and it is more than good enough to film the movie.  Also, I will be brining my tripod, as it will help us get those stable shots when the camera isn't moving. I reached out to one of my friends who has a gimble in hopes to borrow it from him, but he has yet to respond, so I am not sure of the possibility of such a thing happening. With this being my first production blog, I am very excited to see what this rollercoaster ride has top offer. As of right now, our goal is to have our film complete by the end of March. I am aware that we will run into issues, so I am being optimistic with this timeline. But realistically, there is no reason we won't be done by then. As the production blogs continue, I will update you all on the status and changes of our goals. In our plans, I will be filming, Jackson Kev and Kyle will be acting, and I will be editing. This allows for my ideas and pictures to come to life in the post-production. Also, it decreases the chances of miscommunication occurring. I look forward to giving updates regarding our production process. I will make sure to stay on my toes and make sure anything that happens gets documented in my blogger. Get ready for an amazing ride with me and my team. We hope to make this a nice smooth sailing ship.

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. The other doll that was labelled 9 was terrified and ran away to go hide. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up. She gives him ice, nothing to severe.  Scene 7: Travis goes to an interview at the mechanic and gets the job. The scene will include his interview questions, and the entirety of the process.
