Our Pitch

    Pitch One

Beginning in the early 2000's, a story of a teenage motor enthusiast trying to find his way through the struggles he faces in life. As Travis Waddle tries to earn himself a job opportunity at the city's biggest race mechanic, he is held in constant backlash due to his day-to-day teenage high school life.

    Pitch Two

Shot amid 2020, a story about a young teenage kid whose family has been severely affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. With hopes to earn an additional deal of money for his family, Jackson resorts to his passion, fishing. He attempts at trying to win the world re-nouned fishing championship hosted by his local town.

The reason we wrote our first pitch is because our group member Kyle is an actual motor enthusiast, thus allowing him to fully embody the character of the movie. This pitch seems good to use as it would make for an entertaining and important establishing scene that would be important to the plot. We feel that this pitch is an eye-catching device because it could be relatable in a sense to the people watching it. When brainstorming for our pitch, the group decided that since we are all teenagers, we would benefit from the use of all the actors being teens as well. This is a contributor to the entirety of both plots of both pitches.

Pitch two Embodies Zane’s passion for fishing, while having the main conflict be something that we all went through. Our whole group was affected by corona virus, so we would be able to make a realistic plot of how it would affect the main character. We feel that this pitch is good because it is relatable to all of those who had to endure the pandemic. With the sense of relation to the pitch, people will be intrigued to watch the movie. This pitch also follows the theme of using a teenager as the main character because all of us in the group are teenagers.

We decided to choose pitch one because we have a good picture of how we would form the beginning shots. Also, everyone in our group thought that pitch one was more enticing than pitch two. The plot of pitch 2 seemed a little boring, and the group agreed that it would be better to use pitch 1 as we will be able to make a creative and more entertaining movie plot. To continue, the time period of the early 2000’s makes the plot make more sense, and it will allow for more creativity when filming. With all these factors playing a part in our decision, pitch to wins. The group feels that we made a good choice in our pitch, and we look forward to what this project has to offer next.
