Plan to film soon!

      After our holiday break for thanksgiving, we started to discuss our plans for filming. We plan to meet up next weekend to film for our video, and split up responsibilities for editing for the following week. I hope to get all the needed shots and scenery in Jacksons community. However, if we need some more scenery we will all go to my neighborhood to finish the shots. I'm looking forward to implementing a real life story that Kyle has experienced into the music video.  This way the story can have more meaning behind it. And overall, it will make more sense to the audience. This story is about the injury he sustained and how it affected his life. With his injury from sports, he has come over many obstacles with his life, and the illustration in the music video will show. We chose this story line because we feel it would best fit the mood of our song. With Kyle being our main actor, he can show his true emotion in the music video, which will grab the attention of the audience. The overall intent and message of this music video will be to encourage people to continue in what you love even after negative things happen. Also the props needed for this video have already been purchased. I am hoping that the location of filming will go easy and there will be no complications, however I cannot know what to expect due to separate plans that the group has. This is the only issue my group has run into thus far. yet, we plan to work around said issue with little to no issue. I will reach back out once the filming process has ended and the editing process begins. The editing will be split up amongst all group members, with me being the main editor. Since the roles have been split up, Kyle is the actor, I am the editor, and Jackson will be filming a majority of the video. See you next blog!

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. The other doll that was labelled 9 was terrified and ran away to go hide. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
