Production Blog - Plan to film next week.

    We didn't film this week. Due to the recent Jewish holidays and other factors my group has yet to film for our commercial. My group member was celebrating the Jewish holidays Tuesday and Wednesday this week. The previous weekend I was returning from my trip in Chicago, so we couldn't film last weekend either. With all this time taken, there has not been a convenient time that Jackson and I could meet up.  However, we have plans to film for our commercial on Saturday morning.  With our recording place being in Jacksons community gym, we should have no interference with weather. Jackson and I have been working hard to set up everything perfectly for our commercial. I have been preparing film equipment as well as props and costumes needed for our commercial. I have also purchased Gatorade products for the commercial that we plan on using. Transportation wise, I plan on driving to Jacksons house which is not very far from where I live. Jackson and I have also planned all of our actors and who will be filming during our filming "session". Our actor we plan on using is Jackson, and I will be filming the commercial. We both have allotted a a couple hours to film so we should have no time constraint problems. Relating to film equipment, I will be filming with my phone camera, I won't plan on using my tripod, however if needed I will use it. The time we chose to film is a little early to try and eliminate the amount of people in the background/area of our video. We have prepared to have some people in the background of our video and are willing to work around them. We have already been permitted clearance to film so we do not expect there to be any problems with permission. The only foreseeable issue that we are prepared to deal with is others trying to workout in the gym, however we are willing to be very flexible and polite to those trying to workout. Although we were not able to film this week, we will not let that effect the quality of our commercial, we expect it to be as good as we can make it.

  To be completely honest, that has to be one of the most disturbing films I’ve watched in a long time. There was no talking throughout the whole short film. The setting was lifeless and looked as if this animated world had been abandoned. The plot started with  two doll-like figures with some sort of numbers on their back, one being 5 and the other being 9. They end up coming across this mechanical looking monster, it looks like they went for a mixture of a lion and a dog type of design but made entirely of metal. It had bright green eyes and a disturbing roar. This monster proceeds to abduct the doll labelled 5 and uses a green portal device to kill him. The other doll that was labelled 9 was terrified and ran away to go hide. Production Blog - We edited our video!

       Since the last blog many things have progressed. I have began editing and almost completed editing for my video. When editing my video I went through many trial and error of how I wanted the videos overall feeling to be. It took me a little more than 15 mins to find the song I wanted to use. I used real Gatorade ads as context for the music and music style that I wanted to use. Once I found the music video I wanted to use I added some non-copyright sound effects to use for add on effects. It took me a while to cut up and find proper transitioning and timing for the video. One thing I have definitely learned that editing takes time and patience to get the best possible outcome. I also added some filters and color correction on the video to create a dramatic and intense effect on the video. Once I had the major components combined I began to work on the small details.  Scene 1:Travis will be working on his car with a voice over of him introducing his life and him as a person. He is then interrupted by his mom, who tells him to go do his homework. Scene 2: Travis will be working on his homework after being told to by his mother, and look bored, this will introduce the "teen" factor of his life. Scene 3: Travis will be in class daydreaming and not paying attention, then his teacher will make sure he snaps back into place. Scene 4:  Travis at home looking at cars and doing what he enjoys. Scene 5: Travis seen walking in halls around school, and then is approached by the school bully, who beats him up and sends him to the nurse.  Scene 6: Travis at the nurse after getting beat up.
